Jack Vidgen has shared a heartbreaking health update.
The reality TV star, 27, took to Instagram on Saturday to share a post from a rehabilitation centre and revealed he had relapsed in his ongoing battle with addiction.
Jack, who has been in and out of treatment four times in the last few years, told his followers he had undergone a five week long relapse.
Alongside a photo of himself in his hospital bed, the singer admitted in the caption that he was apprehensive about sharing the update.
'As I write this I’m so terrified of judgement. I’m terrified of what people will think, what they’ll say or whisper to each other if I pass them by on the street. I’ve been so scared, for years, of this thing that lives inside me which is my addiction,' he began.
'I just wanted to let you in a bit and let you know, I’m not OK. For years I’ve heard the saying "It’s OK not to be OK" and never really known what the f**k that means. I feel like I’m somewhat understanding it now.
'I’ve been in a five week long relapse where I haven’t been able to come up for air. My addiction has been the biggest struggle of my life and I wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy,' he continued.
Jack was unsure what exactly caused his latest struggle with addiction, but guessed that the loss of two loved ones may have contributed.
'I had a close friend of 13 years pass away, my uncle got sick and ended up passing away as well, I had a whole bunch of other stresses happening and I just don’t think I reached out for support as much as I needed,' he wrote.
Jack confessed to worrying how his latest stay in rehab might impact his career, but knew he needed to prioritise his health.
In the comments to his heartfelt post, many of Jack's celebrity friends offered their support and words of encouragement.
Comedian Dave Hughes wrote, 'Moment at a time mate. Breathe. It's all noise. You got this.'
'So proud of you, angel. One step at a time,' Abbie Chatfield commented.
Radio titan Jackie O Henderson also shared kinds words.
'Sending you so much love Jack. Addiction is so powerful but nothing to be ashamed of. Wishing you healing energy and nothing but love and support xx,' she wrote.
'Proud of you for taking the steps you need to look after yourself,' wrote Deal Or No Deal host Grant Denyer.
'Be gentle on yourself and feel the love from those helping you and all of us sending it to you. Big love,' he added.
My Kitchen Rules host Colin Fassnidge also responded with warmth, writing, 'Just a call away... not just for free lasagna.'
Celebrity gossip mogul Perez Hilton also offered his support: 'The truth is freeing and healing.
'You want to get better and that’s huge! You’ve got the right and are working on the tools and communication. You are heading in the right direction! Won’t be easy. But I believe in you! You’ve already accomplished so much in your life! You got this!'
